Our Services

Apiary Management Services
Lowcountry Bee Works provides professional apiary management for individuals, businesses, and properties that want healthy, well-maintained honey bee colonies without handling every detail themselves. Services may include routine inspections, feeding, mite monitoring and treatment, requeening, swarm prevention, seasonal management, and honey harvest support.

Colony Relocation
Our colony relocation service provides a safe and responsible way to move established honey bee colonies from one location to another. Whether a hive needs to be relocated due to property changes, construction, safety concerns, or apiary management needs, we carefully transport the colony while minimizing stress on the bees. Lowcountry Bee Works handles the relocation process with attention to colony health, secure transport, and proper placement at the new location.

Honey Bee Swarm Removal
Lowcountry Bee Works provides safe, responsible honey bee swarm removal throughout the South Carolina Lowcountry. We carefully collect accessible swarms from trees, fences, structures, and other locations and relocate them into managed hives whenever possible. If you spot a swarm, avoid spraying or disturbing the bees and contact us as soon as possible.

Honey Bee Cut-Out
Lowcountry Bee Works provides careful honey bee cut-out services for established colonies living inside walls, soffits, sheds, barns, and other structures. We remove the bees, comb, brood, and honey, then relocate the colony into a managed hive whenever possible. Each cut-out is evaluated based on access, location, colony size, and the amount of work required.

Honey Bee Trap-Out Services
Lowcountry Bee Works offers trap-out services for honey bee colonies established in areas where a traditional cut-out is not practical. A one-way system allows bees to exit but prevents their return, encouraging them to move into a nearby hive. Trap-outs may take several weeks and require multiple visits. Each situation is evaluated based on access, location, and colony activity.
