Honey Bee Removal on James Island and Folly Beach, SC
From established James Island neighborhoods to beach houses on Folly, Lowcountry Bee Works provides humane, live honey bee removal. We don't spray or kill bees; we remove them and give them a new home in our apiaries.
Mature trees, older brick homes, crawl spaces and raised beach houses give bees lots of hidden spaces to build in. On Folly, homes on pilings and under-house storage areas are common spots. Swarms often land in yards, on fences or on parked boats and vehicles in the spring, and catching them early keeps them from moving into your house.
Bee Removal
We handle swarm pickups, cut-outs from walls, floors and soffits, trap-outs and colony relocations. Pricing starts at free and depends on the size of the colony and the access. A cut-out can often be done in a couple of hours. We remove all comb and honey but don't do the repair work afterward, so have a contractor ready to close things up.
Pollination
Have a big garden, fruit trees or a small farm plot? We can place a hive or two during bloom to help with fruit set, and we take care of the bees the whole time they're there.
Apiary Management
If you'd like bees in your backyard but don't want to keep them yourself, we'll manage the hive for you with regular inspections, swarm prevention, queen checks, feeding and pest monitoring.
